No back room deals

No sly sell out plots

The wars on abroad

At home we were bought

Our resistance rarely spills over

Cause a few bucks buys our quiet

I want to rage love and wonder

They just tell us to sell it

There’s a deal to get paid

But it’s not for that much

We need more than just bread

Is this really enough?

Pressured and threatened

Attacked demeaned killed

We see the ones who are beaten

By those who own the world

So keep your mouth closed

Or just quit and then fight

We need a solution

To this erie silence at night

Hush hush here’s some money

Hush hush take your leave

Get out of town and keep quiet

Don’t wear your heart on your sleeve

Don’t talk about unity

Or stopping the violence

Because the cops and corps know these deeds

Bring the people together

But when we come forward to win

And refuse to shut up

We’ll take to the streets here this spring

No sellout deal that’s corrupt

Corporate consolidation

Mega mergers cut in

Some covert deal we aren’t part of

To do nothings insane

I could keep on going

About sitting on my hands

Earning some bread while the world burns

To just grow old understand

Through agitation and action

We’ll chant no to the deal

Not just breadcrumbs man believe it

We want the full meal

This May Day is one day

Everyday there’s free will

So plan it and don’t sell out

Be transparent with zeal

Frustrated stay quiet

Boil over erupt

Then just say I’m done with this charade we need to all get paid but not stay silent for a wage dismayed and dazed let’s fight love and play cause it’s spring time. You know? (Strike)
