You in the war’s city night

I’m sitting here stupid I wish I knew why

The whole planet on fire are we out of time

The children addicted to cellular phones

I wish I could send you a letter that I’m here all alone

I want nothing more than to please you do dishes and cook

Just give me a chance just one more second look

We can tussle under the stars make the moon as our bed

And whisper to each other secrets to fill up our heads

Is there a way where we can safely lie

Down together with heads and feet intertwined

Can we run through the forest with birds chirping that call

In the wilderness distance with out guns and walls

And build a home by the fire in some rustic campsite

Or with you in this darkness of the war’s city night
