To Comfort the scorned

If the tempest twisted back on me and I was whisked away

Into a dungeon of bondage for the end of my days

As a prisoner of the darkness I’d call out your name

A name of comfort and beauty I’d reach out to say

I dream of a shelter under the rain

Where we hide safe and dry you and I both the same

Our hearts blood is red and blue is our veins

In the white of your eyes there’s no discomfort or pain

The still beat of our hearts in your hands you do hold

My life in your breathe as I shiver so cold

Together we’ll struggle never apart

Even in the torment confused in the dark

The sun rises each morning each new day reborn

With faith in you and the future I’ll never feel scorned
