What is our answer to distortion, hysteria, and the top down content push of social media and news posts?
When AI generation and automated psychological shockers steal our attention, hypnotize our senses, and move our eyes from flick to flick of information overload, slowly but steadily hypnotizing our mind’s eye and invading our subconscious, a counter narrative and counter media must be built.
It takes small group discussions with friends and coworkers, not mass networks of disinformation, propaganda, and control, to take that brave step to a calm, logical, and peaceful conversation about current events and our place in them.
We are often so isolated and cut off from each other, afraid to talk to coworkers about religion and politics. Only sports and the weather are safe.
But it is those dinner table discussions and break room connections that hold us up and shelter our humanity and intelligence within a barrage of negativity.
Sometimes it starts with a smile, and a brief question about the weather.
Which way is the wind blowing? Will it get warmer? Will the winter’s night brighten? When will it rain or snow?
For some it’s sunny and smoggy forever. For others there is rain. When the temperature suddenly drops, metaphors slide into safe conversations and the terrain of acceptability shifts
To openings about the metaphysical, sports, and yes, even issues of common concern.

“Yeah, the night seems awfully long, and it’s just been getting darker.“
“Don’t worry sunshine, I see you.”
“Keep shining”
